CHARLES C. NICOLA, JR.

Charlie Nicola is a Senior Vice President for Forest City Stapleton, Inc. He is responsible for all construction-related activities for infrastructure, mixed-use, multi-family residential and commercial projects at Stapleton and the Colorado Science and Technology Park at Fitzsimons. His responsibilities include negotiating with governing agencies and coordinating with the City of Denver on city-funded improvements and remediation work. Mr. Nicola is also owner representative for the Park Creek Metropolitan District.

Prior to working with Forest City Stapleton, Inc., he served as the Construction Director and Owner’s Representative for the Metropolitan Football Stadium District, the developer of Invesco Field at Mile High, the $400 million facility of the Denver Broncos. Before that, he was a Senior Project Manager for CarrAmerica, Inc., where he had full design and construction responsibilities for numerous office building projects in Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.

Preceding his work there, Mr. Nicola was the Design and Construction Director at the Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District where he oversaw the construction of Coors Field, including administrative offices for the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club. He was a Project Manager for BetaWest Properties, Inc., a subsidiary of US WEST, where he completed office buildings in Omaha, Phoenix, Dallas and two Class A high rise office buildings in Honolulu.

Mr. Nicola has more than 30 years in the construction industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial construction management from Colorado State University.
